Definition of Key Words and Phrases:

 

Definition of CakeNight:

CakeNight is considered an event, and is organized in a group setting, lead by an instructor to complete the themed cake chosen. The group may consist of individuals or private parties. All supplies, utensils and product need to complete a CakeNight event is provided and is included in the registration cost. No extra fees. We do offer tools used in CakeNight for sale.

 

 

CakeNight Has Two Types of Hosted Events Available

 

1: Main Location (Sherwood Park)

  • Scheduled CakeNight

  • Private Party​

 

2: Organized Events Outside of the Bakery

  • Self-Hosted Private Event

  • Third Party Event (example: The Canadian Brewhouse)

1: Main Location (Hosted at Our Home Commercial Bakery in Sherwood Park):

Scheduled CakeNight

 

Participants Rights, Responsibilities and Limitations:

 

Your rights are as follows:

  • Provided the themed cake you have chosen.

  • All registered participants have all necessary equipment and supplies to complete the project.

  • Sufficient Qualified Cake Squad Instructors.

  • Start within 15 minutes of designated start time, unless unforeseen circumstances occur. 

  • We require a min of 6 participants to run a scheduled CakeNight. If the minimum is not met, we will reschedule with you. 

  • You will receive a confirmation email from us. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Reserve Your CakeNight Experience,  All Individual Participants Need To:

 

  • Choose a preferred Theme Night on Our WebSite With an Available Slot.

  • Book the Chosen Theme Night.

  • Pay in Full Through Our Online Booking Service.

 

You can view our Privacy Policy which outlines the use of personal data.

  • As a Registered CakeNight Participant Your Responsibilities are as follows:

  • ​

  • Be Prepared to Have a Great Time!

  • Bring Indoor Shoes (Outdoor Footwear is NOT Allowed).

  • Do Not invite Unbooked Guests (There is limited space and supplies).

  • Stay in the CakeNight Studio (The commercial bakery is off limits). **

  • If you bring food or alcohol, consumption must be by the couches or at our bar, not where the food is prepared.

  • Plan to adhere to the scheduled 2 hours for the event.

 

** The bakery is a commercially licensed business which falls under the Alberta Health Services Public Health Act regarding Food Handling Terms and Conditions, which intern makes the bakery portion off limits.

Upon Arrival:

 

  • Residential Parking Rules Apply. Please be courteous (to our neighbours). 

  • Park in either our driveway or on the street. 

 

 

Limitations:

 

  • Age Requirements:

    • CakeNight is available for 12 years of age and up. Some exceptions can be made. Booking is per individual regardless of age.

    • If a Registered Participant is under the age of 18 they must be accompanied by a registered adult. 

    • Kids CakeNight is available as a Private Party (see the private party section).

 

  • Dietary Restrictions:

    • If you have food allergies or sensitivities, we do not have an alternate option for you at this time for a regular CakeNight.

    • Do to the nature of how CakeNight is done, there could be the chance of cross-contamination from other participants creating their cake.

    • In the event you would still like to experience a CakeNight, an option would to be to book a private CakeNight. Please contact us with a detailed email to see if we can comply with your specific needs or requirements.

 

  • Limited Seating/Supplies:

    • CakeNight is booked solely per individual. Do not bring or invite unbooked guests (Replacement Guests are Acceptable).

 

Refunds/Rebook:

 

  • Make sure you can make your event! 

  • We understand life situations can occur, but the event requires advanced preparation of food, supplies and employees. 

  • A cost(mentioned above) is incurred for every event.

  • We do not offer a refund but we will rebook your event if you have given a minimum of 7 days notice.

  • You can have others replace you if you can not make the event.

To Reserve Your Private CakeNight Experience,  the Organizer Needs To:

 

  • Choose a Preferred Theme 

  • Pick an Available Day From Our Schedule

  • Mention if this is a Kids CakeNight event

  • Provide names of chaperon and relationship to children

  • Pay in Full Through Our Online Booking Service

  • Start within 15 minutes of designated start time, unless unforeseen circumstances occur. 

  • If circumstances arise and we can not make the scheduled event we will contact you and make other arrangements.

  • You will receive a confirmation email from us. 

 

Your RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

To Reserve Your Private CakeNight Self-Hosted Experience,  The Organizer Needs To:

 

  • Choose a Preferred Theme 

  • Pick an Available Day From Our Schedule

  • Pay in Full Through Our Online Booking Service

  • As a Registered Private CakeNight Self-Hosted Event Your Responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Be Prepared to Have a Great Time!

  • Do Not invite Additional Guests. (Replacement of a Guest is Acceptable but CakeNight is a preplanned order specific event)

  • Food and Alcohol are arranged by you.

  • Upon Arrival:

    • You have a predetermined location designated for us to unload and load our van.

    • You have ample seating and working area for the participants.

    •  

  • Parking:

    • Our expectation is there is ample parking for the CakeNight event.

  • Clean up:

    • Arranged and Managed by you.

  • Plan to adhere to the scheduled 2 hours for the event.

 

Limitations:

 

  • Age Requirements:

    • CakeNight is available for 12 years of age and up. Some exceptions can be made. Booking is per individual regardless of age.

    • Kids CakeNight are for ages 6-12 and kids must be accompanied by an adult chaperon (no registration for adult is required).

 

  • Dietary Restrictions:

    • If you have food allergies or sensitivities, we do not have an alternate option for you at this time for a regular CakeNight.

    • Do to the nature of how CakeNight is done, there could be the chance of cross-contamination from other participants creating their cake.

    • In the event you would still like to experience a CakeNight, an option would to be to book a private CakeNight. Please contact us with a detailed email to see if we can comply with your specific needs or requirements.

 

  • Limited Seating/Supplies:

    • Private CakeNights are booked by number of participants. Do not bring unbooked guests.

    • Minimum of 15 participants.

    • Maximum is dependant on the locations ability to host the event. 

    • Large groups (30+) need access to a sound and video system to accommodate the numbers. 

 

 

Refunds/Rebook:

 

  • Make sure you can make your event! 

  • We understand life situations can occur, but the event requires advanced preparation of food, supplies and employees. 

  • This is a cost we incurred for every event.

  • We do not offer a refund but we will rebook your event if you have given a minimum of 7 days notice.

2: CakeNight Hosted Outside Our Bakery:

 

Organized Event Through a Third Party:

 

Definition:

A third party event is where a place of business has requested our services to be provided to you as their customer.

 

(Example: The Canadian Brewhouse has requested CakeNight to provide a fun, unique experience for their customers.)

 

  • Participants Rights, Responsibilities and Limitations:

 

  • You are subject to the Terms, Conditions and Services agreement of the third party’s hosted event. 

  • CakeNight takes no responsibility for the third party’s actions, conduct, billing, or establishment. 

  • Make sure you can make your event! No refunds offered but you can have someone else come in you place. 

  • CakeNights are booked by number of participants. Do not bring unbooked guests.

 

  • Dietary Restrictions:

    • If you have food allergies or sensitivities, we do not have an alternate option for you at this time for a regular CakeNight.

    • Do to the nature of how CakeNight is done, there could be the chance of cross-contamination from other participants creating their cake.

    • In the event you would still like to experience a CakeNight, an option would to be to book a private CakeNight. Please contact us with a detailed email to see if we can comply with your specific needs or requirements.

 

  • Age Requirements:

    • You are obligated by the age requirements of the third party’s establishment and must be adhered to.
